It is believed that natural destiny is the event that will necessarily happen to a particular person in future or the hidden power believed to control your future. Divine destiny is something different. It is the destiny of God in or for a man’s life. We need to spend time with God to discover what God intended for our life. God has a unique purpose for each and every one of us. Rom 8:28 “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” We do not exist in this world by accident. God had a plan before we were created in the womb. We are wonderfully and fearfully made. Psalm 139:13-14 “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous––how well I know it.” Remember that each and every one of us is unique. God has specific plans for you. That’s why He stamped a unique fingerprint and DNA in you. You have to search the perfect will of God for your life.
We are in a journey towards our God-given destiny. God didn’t rescue you from powers of darkness for nothing. He planned to transfer you to His new kingdom. Col 1:13 “He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son.” You are no longer in Egypt nor in the wilderness. Learn to locate your land flowing with milk and honey otherwise you will not enjoy abundant life in store for you.Exodus 3:8 “So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and lead them out of Egypt into their own fertile and spacious land. It is a land flowing with milk and honey––the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live.”
Let me give you conditions for achieving what God has prepared for you. Those conditions are found in Exodus 23:20-33.
1. You need protection
Verse 20 “See, I am sending an angel before you to protect you on your journey and lead you safely to the place I have prepared for you.”
2. Be attentive and obedient
Verse 21,22 “ Pay close attention to him, and obey his instructions. Do not rebel against him, for he is my representative, and he will not forgive your rebellion. But if you are careful to obey him, following all my instructions, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and I will oppose those who oppose you.”
3. You need a visionary leader
Verse 23 “For my angel will go before you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites, and Jebusites, so you may live there. And I will destroy them completely.”
4. You must break satanic covenants
Verse 24 “You must not worship the gods of these nations or serve them in any way or imitate their evil practices. Instead, you must utterly destroy them and smash their sacred pillars.”
5. Put your total trust in God
Verse 25 “You must serve only the LORD your God. If you do, I will bless you with food and water, and I will protect you from illness.
6. Know God’s desire – To be productive and live long
Verse 26 “There will be no miscarriages or infertility in your land, and I will give you long, full lives.”
7. Fear of the Lord must go before you
Verse 27,28 “I will send my terror ahead of you and create panic among all the people whose lands you invade. I will make all your enemies turn and run. I will send terror ahead of you to drive out the Hivites, Canaanites, and Hittites.
8. Full possession will depend on your power to occupy
Verse 29,30 But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals would multiply and threaten you. I will drive them out a little at a time until your population has increased enough to take possession of the land.
9. Know your demarcations and boundaries
Verse 31 And I will fix your boundaries from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, and from the eastern wilderness to the Euphrates River. I will hand over to you the people now living in the land, and you will drive them out ahead of you.
10. Avoid compromise of your faith
Verse 32,33 “Make no treaties with them or their gods. They must not live in your land, or they will cause you to sin against me. If you serve their gods, you will be caught in the trap of idolatry.”
I want to encourage you that God has promised good things for you.
Numbers 10:29 “One day Moses said to his brother–in–law, Hobab son of Reuel the Midianite, “We are on our way to the place the LORD promised us, for he said, ‘I will give it to you.’ Come with us and we will treat you well, for the LORD has promised wonderful blessings for Israel!”
Isaiah 1:19,20 If you will only obey me, you will have plenty to eat.
But if you turn away and refuse to listen, you will be devoured by the sword of your enemies. I, the LORD, have spoken!”
You have a bright future. Be optimistic and not pessimistic.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
God had a great purpose when He created you. You are so special in His sight. You are His masterpiece. He will never leave you nor forsake you. God richly bless you as you take steps to fulfill your divine destiny.
